Fetta-Stuffed Meatball Skewers

Fetta-Stuffed Meatball Skewers

Juicy beef meatballs seasoned with herbs and stuffed with creamy, smooth Plain Feta Juli-Etta, skewered and grilled to golden perfection. These flavour bombs are perfect as a main or entertaining platter, served with your choice of sides like buttery rice, crunchy slaw, or fresh garden veggies.

Ingredients:

  • Beef mince (500g)
  • 1 egg
  • ½ cup breadcrumbs
  • Mixed herbs (parsley, oregano, thyme)
  • Salt & pepper
  • 1–2 cloves garlic (minced)
  • Plain Fetta Juli-Etta
  • Olive oil for cooking
  • Fresh parsley or chives (for garnish)
  • Skewers (optional)

Sides (choose your favourites):

  • Steamed basmati or jasmine rice
  • Pickled or grilled vegetables
  • Fresh cherry tomatoes
  • Creamy coleslaw or herbed garden salad

Instructions:

  1. Mix the Meatballs:
In a large bowl, combine beef mince, egg, breadcrumbs, minced garlic, herbs, salt & pepper. Mix until just combined.
  2. Stuff with Fetta:
Take a small amount of the mixture and flatten in your palm. Place a cube of Plain Feta Juli-Etta in the centre and wrap the meat around it, rolling into a ball.
  3. Skewer & Cook:
Thread the stuffed meatballs onto skewers (optional), then pan-fry or oven bake at 180°C until browned and cooked through (about 10–15 minutes). Air fryer works well too!
  4. Serve & Garnish:
Plate with your favourite sides like rice, salad, and seasonal veggies. Drizzle with balsamic glaze or olive oil, and garnish with fresh herbs for that final touch.
